Bridal Size Guide
Bridal Size Guide
Finding the right size is one of the most important steps in your bridal journey. Bridal sizing runs differently from ready-to-wear — most brides order 1–2 sizes larger than their everyday size. We recommend measuring yourself and ordering based on your largest measurement.
How to Measure Yourself
For the most accurate measurements, wear a well-fitting strapless bra and have a friend help you. Use a soft measuring tape and keep it snug but not tight.
- Bust: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
- Waist: Measure around your natural waist — the narrowest part of your torso, usually about 1 inch above your belly button.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, about 7–9 inches below your natural waist.
- Hollow to Hem: Measure from the hollow at the base of your throat straight down to the floor while wearing heels you plan to wear on your wedding day.

Between Sizes?
It's very common to fall between two sizes — here's what to do:
- Order the larger size. It's always easier (and less expensive) for a seamstress to take a gown in than to let it out.
- Prioritize your largest measurement. If your bust is a size 10 but your hips are a size 12, order the size 12.
- Consider your body shape. If you're fuller in the hips relative to your bust, order for your hips. If you're fuller in the bust, order for your bust.

Alterations
Almost every bridal gown requires some alterations for a perfect fit — this is completely normal and expected.
Note: These measurements are general bridal industry guidelines. Sizing may vary slightly by designer. When in doubt, always order the larger size and plan for alterations.
